Clarinetist Igor Urruchi records his first album with The Recording Consort

This album, which will be published by Itinerant Classics, contains a wide selection of contemporary works, pieces of composers: J. Vicent Egea, Arthur Gottschalk, Sebastián Mariné, Federico Mosquera and Jo Sporck.

The common thread of all these works is the bass clarinet. Besides some works only, Igor Urruchi will include the participation of Ana Valero (viola) and Mario Molina (piano) who make up the trio Horak Connexion. Urruchi also record a duet piece with acclaimed clarinetist Florian Popa. They will be joined in these recording sessions by a team of photographer Michal Novak technical equipment, video technician Jaime Olmedo and the production team of The Recording Consort, Gerardo Tornero and Ricardo Quintero.

The recording sessions are taking place on 11, 12 and 13 of this month of May in the case of Miranda del Ebro Burgos Cultural Center.
Igor Urruchi Salas, a native of Miranda de Ebro, graduated from the Conservatory of Music in Madrid with Professor Justo Sanz and completed his studies doing a master in CODARTS University of Arts (Rotterdam), specializing in bass clarinet as a student of Henri Bok and ending with the highest ratings. He has had master classes with renowned clarinetists as Guy Deplus, José Luis Estellés, Miguel Espejo, Matthias Muller and Jan Guns and played in important auditoriums Auditorio Nacional (Madrid), Euskalduna, Kursal, Main Theater of Vitoria, and Doelen (Sala principal in Rotterdam). His career is abalada not only training but also with several prizes and awards obtained in recent years as the First prize in the International Competition Bass Clarinet “Julián Menéndez” or Honorable Mention in the National Competition for Wind Instruments “Fermin Gurindo”.

Mario Molina (Piano)
Mario Molina master in piano performance in CODARTS University of Arts (Rotterdam, Netherlands). His solo career has led him to play in meeting the Spanish and European geography, working with the Municipal Band of Soria, with the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearic Islands, with the Orchestra of the Conservatory of the Balearic Islands and the Choir and the Youth orchestra of the University of Valladolid.
