Giulia Brutti, Micaela Mancinelli and Gianluca Aureli, students of the “Nelio Biondi” music institute in Camerino, sent an article to our editorial that testifies to the emotions experienced at the Camerino Music Festival:

On 13 August at the Benedetto XIII auditorium, as part of the 33rd edition of the Camerino Music Festival, the Wind Camerino Orchestra conducted by Maestro Vincenzo Correnti, an internationally acclaimed Camerinese musician, had the honor of accompanying four soloists world famous: Sauro Berti, bass clarinet of the orchestra of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Paolo de Gaspari, professor at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London, Rocco Parisi, professor of clarinet and bass clarinet at the “A. Vivaldi ”of Alexandria and Stephan Vermeersch, president of the European Clarinet Association.

The lead track of the “Four New Brothers” concert by Arthur Gottschalk was performed for the first time ever in Europe and as a world premiere in the version for Bass Clarinets and Symphonic Winds. It is a modern and expressive writing that takes its cue from the soundtracks of American films.
This, like other concerts with Nello Salza, the trumpet Oscar of the Italian cinema, Ferec Akbarov, clarinet, Gianluca Scipioni, trombone and Nilo Caracristi, horn, was for us boys of the Musical Institute “Nelio Biondi” of Camerino a training experience and exciting, as we have been able to know and appreciate those who have made music a profession.

Playing in the Orchestra is already exciting in itself as it involves confrontation and acquaintance with other guys who come from different realities and the collective study of repertoires that are renewed periodically, but at the same time have the opportunity to accompany internationally renowned artists it is a precious opportunity.

In conclusion of this experience, unique in its kind, we will remember the admiration towards these great figures of modern music who have always shown a remarkable appreciation for our activity and a good dose of empathy towards the situation strongly undermined after the known seismic events, with the hope that this collaboration will continue in the years to come when we can fully resume the study and take advantage of the new music school that will be built thanks to the extraordinary commitment of Andrea Bocelli Fondation (ABF).
